When I was 10, I was gifted a balloon animal kit for my Birthday with Volume One of this book. Best gift ever! I learned to make everything in it and loved my new toy. That book is long lost, but I remember saving up my own money to buy this Volume Two that I’ve owned for more than 30 years! It was written by Marvin Hardy, a balloon legend who’s work has touched and inspired probably every balloon artist in existence. He introduced me to the art of balloon twisting and sparked a love for something that has lasted my whole life, so when I learned of his passing today, it didn’t feel right to leave it unmentioned. Thanks Marvin Hardy for sharing your talent with the world, making it a better place one balloon at a time.
